March 27 Tin Mt,‘ Jackson, NH’
Length: 2.9. miles Elevation gain: 783 feet. Difficulty: moderate. Hiking time: 2 hours Driving time. 1.5 hrs RT

April 3 –
Easy – Mount Tire’m (1,073 ft), Waterford, ME – 1.75 mi RT,
554 ft. elevation gain. RT hiking 1 hour. RT driving 1.5 hours.
Meet at the Denmark church at 8:30 am. We’ll spot cars at the Daniel
Brown Trailhead on Plummer Hill Road and hike to the summit on the
new trail off Grover Road.



April 10 – Moderate – Little Deer Hill (1,367 ft), Evans Notch,
ME. 3.3 mi RT, 837 ft of elevation gain. RT hiking 3 hours. RT
driving 1.5 hours.
Meet at the Denmark church at 8:30 am. We will follow the trail from
Shell Pond Road along the Cold River to the dam, then climb Little
Deer Hill.


April 17– Moderate – Boulder Loop (1,750 ft.), Albany, NH – 3.1 mi. RT, 950 ft. elevation gain. RT hiking 2 1/2 hours. RT driving 2.0 hour.
Meet at the Denmark church at 8:30 am. We’ll probably climb the loop
trail counter-clockwise. Access is from the Kancamagus
Highway. Classed as Moderate because the climb to the summit
counter-clockwise is a very bony, bouldery climb.]


April 24 – Moderate – Chandler Gorge (900 ft.), Evans Notch, NH.
3.4 mi RT, 200 elevation gain. RT hiking time 3.0 hrs. RT driving
1 5 hrs. (Dual Hike-see below)
(Meet at the Denmark church at 8:30 am. A pretty cascade comes down
the mountain with some pools. We’ll be hiking on the Baldface Circle
Trail and Slippery Brook Trail.


April 24 – Difficult– South Bald Face shelter or beyond (2,130 ft),
Evans Notch, NH – 5.0 mi RT, 1,600 ft elevation gain. RT hikng 4.0 hours. RT driving 1.5 hours. (Dual Hike-see above)

Meet at the Denmark church at 8:30 a.m. The destination is the shelter at
the base of the South Bald Face cliff. This group may decide to go
beyond the shelter to the cliffs or the summit


May 8 – Easy – Rattlesnake Mountain (1,035 ft), Casco, ME 2.0mi RT, 585 ft elevation gain. RT hiking time 1.5 hours. RT driving 1.5 hours.
Meet at the Denmark church at 8:30 a.m. Fine views of Crescent Lake
from the summit ledges.


May 15 – Moderate – Round Mountain (1,927 ft), Albany, ME – 4.2 miles RT, 1,061 ft elevation gain. RT hiking time 3.5 hours. RT driving 3 hours.
Meet at the Denmark church at 8:30 am. An easier “moderate” hike with
some steep spots and switchbacks. There is a loop trail at the Rock
Castle near the summit, an interesting rock feature.


May 29 – Easy – Hermit Falls (730 ft), Evans Notch, NH – 2.6 mi RT, 60 ft elevation gain. RT hiking 3.0 hours. RT driving 2 hours. (Dual Hike- see below)
Meet at the Denmark church at 8:30 am. There’s a stream crossing at the
inlet for the pond.

May 29 – Difficult – Speckled Mountain (2,906 ft), Evans Notch, ME –
5.6 mi RT, 1,486 ft elevation gain. RT hiking 6 hours. RT driving 2.0 hours. (Dual Hike-see above)
Meet at the Denmark church at 8:30 a.m. We will climb via the Bickford
Brook Trail from the Brickett House trailhead parking lot on Rte
113.
Meet at the Denmark church at 8:30 a.m. What is now called the Five
Kezar Ponds Reserve used to be called the Back Pond Preserve not so
many years ago. It is 259 acres next to Five Kezar Pond Road in
Waterford.


June 12 – Moderate – Low s Bald Spot (2,875 ft.), Pinkham Notch, NH. 4.4 mi RT with 950 ft. of elevation gain. RT hiking 4.5 hours. RT driving 2.5 hours.
Meet at the Denmark church at 8:00 am After the hike, if the
weather is warm, we might drive up a couple of miles in Pinkham Notch to the Emerald Pool,


June 19 – Easy – Mount Tom (1,073 ft), Fryeburg, ME. 2.0 mi RT with
573 ft elevation gain. RT hiking 1.5 hours. RT driving 1.25 hours.
Meet at the Denmark church at 8:30 am.We can climb via the old trail
that starts at the Menotomy Cemetery and descend via the West Ridge Trail, or the other way around.


June 26 – Easy – The Roost (1,364 ft) and swim in Wild River, Evans Notch, ME – 1.7 mi RT with 514 ft elevation gain. RT hiking 1hour. RT driving 2 hours. (Dual Hike-see below)
Meet at the Denmark church at 8:30 am. We can combine the hike with a
swim in the Wild River where Evans Brook enters and there is a nice
sand beach and deep pool. Pastry and ice cream at the Stow Corner
Store on the way down the notch.

June 26 – Difficult – East Royce (3,114 ft), Evans Notch, NH – 2.8 mi RT, 1,316 ft elevation gain. RT hiking 3.0 hours. RT driving 2.0 hours.(Dual Hike-see above)
Meet at the Church at 8:30 am. This is a difficult trail due to the rough
trail conditions and a steep upper part with some scrambling needed.
