Our hiking club offers weekly group hikes in southwestern Maine and across the border in to New Hampshire providing a healthy dose of fresh air and the chance to revel in our good luck to live where we do and to marvel at a bit of our beautiful world.

May 29  Dual Hikes:
Easy – Hermit Falls (730 ft), Evans Notch, NH
Difficult – Speckled Mountain (1650 ft), Evans Notch

June 5 – EasyFive Kezar Ponds Preserve (1,200 ft.), Lovell, ME 3.0 mile RT, 600 ft. elevation gain.  RT hiking time 3-4 hours.  RT driving 2.0 hours. What is now called the Five  Kezar Ponds Reserve used to be called the Back Pond Preserve not so many   years ago.  It is 259 acres next to Five Kezar Pond Road in Waterford.

June 12 – Moderate – Lows Bald Spot (2,875 ft.), Pinkham Notch, NH.

June 19 – Easy – Mount Tom (1,073 ft), Fryeburg, ME.
 
NOTE: The meeting time for those meeting at the Denmark Church remains constant at 8:30 AM. Please be advised that, based on the location of specific hikes, the hike leader may go directly to the trailhead. If you find yourself at the church and no hike leader shows up, please organize your carpooling and proceed to the trailhead. We will try to give you a heads up when this situation will occur.

May 29 th, dual hikes: one easy and one hard. The easy one is Hermit Falls and the Difficult choice is Speckled mountain. More information is posted here.

Year round hiking for sure: but there’s a limit. If the forecast is really bad, hikes may be cancelled or postponed. Ideally cancellations will be announced by Thursday evening . Schedule changes, when necessary, will be announced via email to website subscribers
