Here is Polly’s report on Friday’s hike:
DMH had a great turnout with 20 souls on the hike today. We decided to all stick together and hike up counterclockwise to the top and return the same way. The sky was clear and Washington was out in its full glory to the North and Conway Lake was visible to the South. Some walked around to experience the various views including down into North Conway. The trail is in the process of being changed to accommodate bikers which included at least doubling the parking and spreading crushed rock part way up the trail covering some of the roots. Hikers today were Kathy H, Bob M, Mary M, Robin M, Sandy B, Susan Smith, Jane, David A, Polly, Jeff, Jacob, John, Pete, Pat M, Tina, Dianne, Steve K, Fred M, Dennis & Fran.
