April 10 – Easy – Little Deer Hill (1,367 ft), Evans Notch, ME. 3.3 mi RT, 837 ft of
elevation gain. RT hiking 3 hours. RT driving 1.5 hours.
Meet at the Denmark church at 8:30 AM, or at the trailhead sometime before 9:30 AM. We will be starting on the Leach Link Trail. The trailhead is on Shell Pond Road (some maps show it as Stone House Road) in Stow, ME, just across the border from Chatham, NH. GPS coordinates are

Directions to trailhead:
Driving north on Rte. 113 toward Evans Notch, go past the AMC Cold River Camp. In 1.3 miles, turn right onto Stone House Road. Cross the bridge over Cold River, and at the T, go right on Shell Pond Road. In a few hundred yards, where the road turns left, there is a gated road on the right. This is the start of the Leach Link Trail. Park by the road, but do not block the gate.
It is recommended to bring microspikes. Hopefully we won’t need them, but there may still be ice and snow in the area.
